Racing started at 11:00 am, with Buccaneer and Mutineer sailors from Seattle on their annual Mutt/Buc outing and the Flying Scot sailors from the Columbia Basin Sailing Club mingling on the dock, waiting for the morning wind to arrive. The forecasted winds of 6 mph nearly arrived for the second race, but then quickly disappeared. Races had mixed class starts, but only the Flying Scot Class results are shown above.

Five Flying Scots and one C-Lark were on hand at Ice Harbor Marina for Summer Race #2 on Lake Sacajewea. Three races were sailed on this warm sunny day in light air. The temperature hit 95° F. Winds forecast for 2 mph lived up to form, but on occasion went to zero making the slight Snake River current more noticeable.

(S-3S-F); Race #2 (S-3S-4S-F); and Race #3 (S-2P-F). All races used whistle starts.

Obst, Tyrrell, and Peters each totalled 10 points and had a three way tie at the end of the day. With temperature in the 80s, clear skies, and winds generally 4 - 5 mph, summer racing continued with five short races.
